Drawing Attention to Yourself, without Being Promiscuous
We have seen it on the street, in the mall, and on the beach: a woman or girl walks along and every head turns to follow. Sometimes, you think to yourself, “I have everything and more than she does, why don’t I get the same response?” There are many things a female can do to gain attention without resulting to wearing skimpy or tasteless clothing and without dieting to the point of wasting away.Hygiene is perhaps the most important aspect of appearing refreshed, and beautiful. Attention should be given to the hair. Use the proper shampoos and conditioners to keep a silky appearance, and to ward off split ends and a greasy look. Try to get a trim every 6-8 weeks. This keeps the hair looking neat and makes it easier to control, and curl. Unwanted hair also needs to be attended. Under arms and legs should be shaved when wearing revealing dresses, blouses, shorts, and swimsuits. Facial hair should also be controlled. Using creams, waxing, tweezing, or laser to remove unwanted facial hair are all great options. Some are permanent, and others need attention weekly or bi-weekly.
If hair is going gray, you can purchase color remedies from the store or have your stylist manage as needed. Gray can be beautiful, but use products that enhance and take out the yellowish tint that some products can leave behind.
Body shape can be irrelevant if you wear the proper clothing for your size and shape. Many bodacious ladies attract looks just by wearing clothes that fit correctly- not too tight, not too loose. Avoid trendy clothing and gaudy accessories, unless you have a knack for fashion. Go with clothes that are just below the radar, and add some color with accessories, belt, jewelry, scarf or hat. Make sure to look in a mirror to see if everything has been put on correctly (shirt right side out, belt in all of the loops, matching shoes and socks).
Do not over do the makeup. Some women are born with facial skin that doesn’t need much help from store bought aids, and those ladies should allow that natural beauty to come through. Other women are not so lucky and may need help from an aesthetician or a good store clerk in a department store.
Smile. Make sure you are taking care of your teeth, by brushing, flossing, and seeing a dentist regularly. If you have broken or missing teeth and can afford it, get them fixed. The more confident you feel of yourself, the more others will see you that way too.
Be active in community events. This could be as a participant, or attendee. But the more you are out in public, the more opportunity you have to perfect your presence: how you carry yourself, how you act, etc. Don’t be too loud and try not to be too quiet. Find a middle ground. People will find you pleasant and intriguing, instead of obnoxious and unbearable. Reading a book on etiquette will also be beneficial. You will learn what to do, and what not to do.
The way you walk can be a turn on or turn off too. If you turn your toes in or out, you may be able to correct it with help from friends and family. Make sure the person you use to critique you will be honest.
Most women who get the eye, are confident and know they have done all they can to look and feel their best. If you also attempt to do these things, your chances of turning heads for the right reasons are sure to increase.
